Follow Your Calling And How To Know It's Your Calling

God created each one of us in a very specific way to accomplish a unique work.

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

This is what God's plan is. The Body of Christ is made up of a network of people that He created to do His work. You have a unique role to play that everyone is dependent upon for God's plan to come to fruition.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

We can draw some comfort and rest in Romans 8:28 and many often do without much analysis. Notice that we have a responsibility here. God works all things for the good of those who love God. You must sit back and examine yourself and ask the question... Do I love God? That in and of itself is one of the most powerful introspective exercises that you can dive into. Do you love God? We will leave that one alone for you to ponder at your leisure and now we will assume that you do love God. Therefore it is an easy one to follow the rest of the passage about being called according to His purpose. Examine yourself. Do you love God? If you do then you can rest assured that God is at work orchestrating all things for your good.

Psalm 37:4 - Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

This passage is very uplifting because it confirms that your calling is one that fits with the desires of your heart. Where you feel your heart leading you in some cases despite your personality, attitudes, gifts, physical strength and other aspects of your unique person.

So if you love God and take delight in Him you can move forward with your life's calling in confidence knowing that you were created to do a specific work and that the work you were created for rings true to your heart and is a natural fit for you.

Once you recognize this and see a vision for your calling it is time to take affirmative steps of faith. Change your behavior and actions and walk in steps of faith toward this new place that God will take you and show you.

If these things are lining up for you and you start taking the steps of faith you must understand that Satan is none too happy about this and gets in the game quickly to derail you in your walk of faith.

You must be mentally prepared for these attacks and they will not be trivial.

I took a big step of faith this past week to start this website and follow God in the fulfillment of my calling on this earth to do the work that I was created for and right on time I was blasted with some shocking events in my life.

At my day job a dangerous and costly accident occurred that threw shock waves throughout the work environment. I won't go into the details here but it was a big deal and typical of Satan getting involved.

Also I had some devastating news from my family and some bad things were made into a reality that on the surface could make me feel like the sky was falling.

These events happening in the immediate aftermath of me taking some steps of faith are typical of the walk of a believer who follows God and chooses to fulfill a calling.

This has happened before in my life and the aftermath of the attack was so devastating that I literally lost 10 years of fulfilling my calling. I was not aware enough of the process to expect the attack and also learn to stand firm in my faith and continue to pursue my calling despite the attack.

Thankfully today I know that these attacks are coming. Satan does not want me to fulfill my destiny and calling in the Kingdom of God.

Now more than ever I am thankful for the attack as it is true confirmation that I am on the right track and that I must get stronger in my pursuit of becoming what God intends for me to become.

This is my story of my accepting the calling of God on my life. This is the real documentation of the reality of my walk with God.

I know for sure that I am on the correct path because these attacks confirm this.

You can know that you are discovering what God will have you do when you experience the same thing.

You cannot succumb to the attack and be derailed. You cannot allow yourself to get off track. This will require strength. This will require training but it is possible.

This website and my documentation of following my calling with step by faithful step toward my destiny will be the most incredible journey. It will be a journey that will take me to a new place that God will show me. God will allow me to do the work that He created me to do.

I won't let the attacks get me off track because John 4:4 - "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
