While I rest God prepares my path

Sometimes my energy gets drained and it’s time for a break.

I feel like there is no time for a break. There is so much work to do and my time here is short.

God is taking me to a new place. A place that he will show me.

I just want to hurry up and get there. God knows it’s not time yet.

“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.” ~ Exodus 23:20

It is at moments like these that I must simply acknowledge that I need rest and meditation time.

Study God’s word and pray. Understand that Rome was not built in a day.

Today I provided some encouraging words to some of my Christian brothers and sisters. It was not a big thing at all. Just making a word or two to let some people know that what they were doing had bigger eternal consequences than they could realize and I thanked them for all who were blessed.

These things I do for people seem so small and insignificant that sometimes I wonder why I do them and why can’t I do more.

Then I realize that God is also at work. He leverages my initiative and places my work in a sequence of events in another person’s life that could be a pivotal game changer.

Also God sends angels before me. I do not know what they are doing but I know they are paving the way for me to travel to some place new.

At times like these I realize that it is OK to rest and wait on God. Soon enough I will travel to the new land that God will show me.

I do not want to miss the training along the way.

Today my prayer will be for the Holy Spirit to pray for me and those on my prayer list.

Progress is being made.

25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. ~ Romans 8:25-27

Today I will be content despite my weakness and remain confident that God is at work and the Holy Spirit will pray and my pathway is being prepared while I rest.
