In A New York Minute

I am amazed at how fast things can change and forever change the course of human history.

I remember as a kid at church when they talked about the end times they would say that everyone around the entire earth would see Christ’s return at the same time.

At the time that seemed impossible to me that everyone around the world could see Christ’s return.

Fast forward to today and I am entering this blog post on a handheld device that could tap in to a news feed from anywhere in the world.

Those of us who have faith in God know and expect good things to result from all circumstances - 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Romans 8:28-29

God is at work in this world and His plan is moving forward. None of us can understand how fast everything can change and it can make us wonder how to deal with it.

Just in the last week all of us have been gripped by the panic of the Coronavirus and the unknown of what this means to us.

What amazes me is that the course of human history has been shifted. Right now it seems like a nothing sort of issue. Ok, this weekend everybody will stay home. Isolation. Solitary Confinement.

It‘s ok for me now because I was in good shape going into this weekend.

Next week millions of Americans lives will be different. Schools, churches, big events will be non existent. And for how long?

None of us know how long this situation will last. Will they all just tell us one day “the coast is clear!”

I actually believe that there is a new socialization coming into view. Independent thought is being taken away from this planet. The world wants to reprogram us. We are asked to think a certain way and that can change quickly and we respond like sheep most of the time.

I will pray and I ask you to pray that God will stop all cases of Coronavirus now and stop the disruption.

I am not going to alter my behavior. I will go to work and do my normal routine because I know that God has me here for a reason. I trust that God will take care of me.

The powers that be in our government have decided to force us all to take a break from normalcy. This is going to really hurt the economic conditions in the USA and around the world. The airline industry is going to be reeling in 14 days. They may have enough cash to survive it and the government might come to their rescue but it sure looks like people will stop traveling.

I’ll be praying that God will bring a rapid end to this virus and I hope you will too. God hears us and will respond.

In the meantime this is a great opportunity to slow down a little and tune in to God’s frequency. Take this opportunity to find Him and see what He is trying to say to us. God’s children can bring worldwide revival.

Remember these days and remember how everything can change in a New York Minute.
