Faith without Works....

The Bible says “faith without works is dead..” ~ James 2:26

Once you get a glimpse of what God has done for you as a believer sending Jesus to earth to live a perfect life and sacrifice His life for all of us, it’s time to show our gratitude.

How can we do this? How can we show our gratitude for what God did for us by sending Jesus to bring us into proper fellowship with Him?

We can recognize that we are to be changed by the renewing of our mind. Study God’s Word daily and meditate on the teaching of Jesus.

Then put it into action. Be different. Bridle your tongue. Be a living sacrifice. Find people around you and help them.

For me, the easiest way to help people is to provide a word of encouragement to them. Get to know the people around you and find out what they are doing. Find out what they are putting their energy into. Many times they are putting energy into their calling and a simple word of encouragement goes a long way to propelling them forward to be levels of greatness.

I spend my nights thinking about who I am going to be around the next day. What setting are we in and how will I interact with them. What can I do to help them be better.

A couple of years ago I had lunch with a friend who had a successful run in business. He told me that the key to his success was that he simply helped everyone around him.

This sounds so simple and it can be implemented. By helping others you are doing the good work that God prepared in advance for you to do.

Plow your energy into helping everyone around you. Strive to help them every day and in this way you are making a statement about what God has done for you.

We have been set free from sin and death and can serve God by helping others. Start with some small things and see where it leads you.

My goal this week is to help everyone I come in contact with.
